The bilateral project (code: NI-0002) for scientific cooperation between Republic of Slovenia and State of Israel is funded by the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS) and the Ministry of Science and Technology, State of Israel. The project target waste water treatment and use of treated water in agriculture. The duration of the project is 2 years starting from 1.9.2018.
PEC water cleaning using two electrode system. The pinc colour in the water tank comes from a model contaminant dye. After the cleaning step solution colour will become transparent. During the PEC water treatment the anode electrode is illuminated with LED light.
Picture of grape plants which are used in our experiments. About six plants are used for each experiment to achieve good statistics. The plants are divided in two series. The first series is irrigated with contaminated water and the second group are irrigated with treated water. Plant growth is monitored after 3 weeks of growth. Leaves are collected for analysis. At the end of experiments the root system is also monitored in order to check if there are unwanted pathogens.
